Cool... did anyone actually know what it was you were representing? And did you get to touch anyone with your noodly appendage?

I'd say about a third of the people knew immediately I meant the Flying Spaghetti Monster and not just a spaghetti hat. It turned out to be a great "proselytizing" tool, I didn't get into what it was at work, but told them to Google "Flying Spaghetti Monster" and left it at that. I got alot of positive responses.

And many were blessed by the noodly appendage.

I went to my local craft store (Michaels) and bought a cheap baseball hat, two styrofoam balls, two google eyes, white pipe cleaners, small tube of wine colored paint and cream colored (not white) yarn. I painted the styrofoam balls to make them look like meatballs, glued the eyes on. When they were dry I used the pipe cleaners to attach them to the hat. This was the hardest part because I had to reinforce the pipe cleaners holding the eyes, using more pipe cleaners, to stand up right and in the right position on the hat. All that was hidden under the yarn so it didn't look obvious. The yarn isn't attached to the hat by anything more than it's own weight and tangle around the pipe cleaners. I unwound the yarn over the hat trying to make it look random and loose and only occasionally did I cut the yarn to create hanging ends. Leave one long end so you can touch people with your noodly appendage.

Sorry, that's four styrofoam balls, two for the meatballs (painted) and two for the eyes (with glued on googles).
